Meritxell Jiménez Morales (Barcelona) is an artist based in the city of Girona who works with different disciplines, from painting and drawing to literature. 

With a degree in Business Administration and Management and a diploma in Business Sciences (University of Girona, UdG), she completed a Master's in Human Resources Management (UdG), but at the same time she followed an exhaustive training in the field of the arts .

Apart from his academic curriculum, he has taken courses in painting, drawing, model workshops and urban landscape at various artistic training centers. In 2009, he completed a postgraduate course in Art Therapy (UdG) and advanced training in Fine Arts for two years at the La Mercè Municipal School of Art (Girona).

Within these courses, he has dedicated himself to learning and researching different artistic techniques that are not exclusively pictorial and to creative research with different sources and textures. 

He has also taken an interest in the different manufacturing processes of materials and supports and has also attended workshops in jewelry design, creative writing, bookbinding, papermaking and screen printing.

In the field of literary production, he has published two illustrated albums with the publisher BABIDI-BÚ, “Divarius, ¿dónde està el sol?” (2017) i ” Chipie la guardiana del Mar Azuláctico” (2020), and two collective books “Año 2045: Abuelita, ¿qué pasó en marzo de 2020 en España?” (BABIDI-BÚ) and “Antología pequeños héroes” (2022) with Book’s Wings.

His artistic themes address the colorimetry of natural forms, impressionist-expressionist abstraction, the investigation of production materials in relation to the environment, and narratives committed to women, the environment and ethical and social values . This trajectory has led him to hold different collective and individual exhibitions, both in Catalonia and abroad, among which the Saló Internacional d’Art Contemporani (art3f) in París i a Mònaco.
